I have followed Obama ever since I heard his speech at the Democratic convention in 2004. I really fell head over heels for him when I saw this photo in TIME. When other senator's have so many houses they cannot even remember how many they have (11) Obama wears shoes with holes in the sole. I have high hopes for him as President of the United States and am so proud to have been a part of electing such a thoughtful and intelligent person to such an important position. Quite honestly, I laugh-cried all of Tuesday evening and most of Wednesday...and I am still smiling.
